Somewhere I Read is a home for cultural renewal.

We are not a political organization.
We are a cultural and civic initiative grounded in beauty, truth, art, poetry, helping and meaning.

What We Stand For:

  • human dignity

  • constitutional self-government as was penned 250 years ago

  • moral clarity

  • beauty as a civic force

  • truth, empathy and courage

What We Stand Against:

  • cruelty

  • disrespect

  • lies

  • and any group that willfully ignores the self evident truth that we are all, indeed, created equal.

Somewhere I read that all are created equal.
Somewhere I read that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.

And somewhere I read—that is America.

Somewhere I Read is not aligned to a party or a personality. We are aligned to principles—the ideals written into our founding documents, from the Declaration of Independence to the Gettysburg Address.

At a time of deep division, we return to those words not to worship the past, but to ask whether we still have the courage to live by them.

A nation is not measured by the ideals it writes, but by whether its people choose to live by them - together.

“Politics is too serious a matter to be left to the politicians.” - Charles de Gaulle

Somewhere I Read is a steward of civic conscience.

Because storytelling shapes identity, Somewhere I Read exists to ensure the unfinished American story is not written by corporations or government elites, but by the people themselves—honoring our ancestors, amplifying unheard voices, and reclaiming the power to decide who we are.

In an age of unspeakable corruption, propaganda and grifting, we are giving the power back to the people.

We are handing the microphone back to American citizens through:

  • A feature film and televised concert that will be nothing short of legendary.

  • Real-time citizen journalism.

  • National Lecture Series led by U.S. Ambassadors, Congressmen and retired Intelligence officials.

  • Storytelling that rises from lived experience in ongoing podcasts and independent media news broadcasts.

  • Voices from every community, not just the powerful few, highlighted across social media.

This is our country.
This is our voice.
And we’re taking both back.

IMMEDIATELY.

OUR INSPIRATION

When evil men plot, good men must plan. When evil men burn and bomb, good men must build and bind. When evil men shout ugly words of hatred, good men must commit themselves to the glories of love.
— Dr Martin Luther King Jr
